Update 20061018
Original sender: Eric -- NOTE, posted late Thursday rather than on Wed. ----
Hi All,
I got a quick call from Hope, the vet student assigned to JJ’s case. She’s on her way into surgery on another case and just wanted to give a very quick update.
JJ is tons brighter and perkier this morning. He walked outside by himself and produced his first normal bowel movement since his arrival. I would imagine that being fed with a tube provided enough mass to help get him past (or perhaps mask) the GI distress he has exhibited. I hope he feels well enough to eat on his own so they can remove the feeding tube.
His blood has been sampled and sent off for testing. The results are not in yet.
